Lakka is found at the northern most end of the island, approximately 8km from Gaios. The village is built at the far end of an enclosed bay with luxuriant vegetation reaching down to the sea shore which together with the aquamarine water creates the illusion of a lake.
You can swim on the beaches of Monodendri and Charami or take a small boat to the small ports of Arkoudaki, Orko and Exolitharo.
The Byzantine church of the Hypapanti dating from 1600 is one of the regions main sights having an impressive belfry and an
exceptionally artistic templon.
In Lakka there are many rooms for rent and some picturesque taverns. If you are in need of a calm and relaxing environment then the village is an ideal place for you to stay.
