The ISSA VHF / SRC (Short Range Certificate) is the minimum qualification required by law to operate a marine VHF radio with Digital Selective Calling (DSC) capabilities.
In many countries, charter companies are strict: the skipper must hold a valid sailing license AND a valid VHF license. If you don't have this, your charter can be refused at the base. This one-day intensive course covers everything from routine ship-to-ship communication to handling full-scale distress situations using modern digital equipment.
